Nowe trendy w produkcji paszy dla drobiu podążają w kierunku stosowania naturalnych składników o ogromnych walorach pokarmowych oraz prozdrowotnych, prowadząc tym samym do eliminacji syntetycznych związków chemicznych, konserwantów oraz antybiotyków. Konsumenci coraz częściej wybierają produkty żywnościowe wolne od substancji wspomagających wzrost i odporność zwierząt, które mogą być szkodliwe dla ludzi (jak np. antybiotyki, hormony). Dlatego nowoczesna produkcja zwierzęca skłania się ku zastępowaniu naturalnymi suplementami wspomagającymi substancji szkodliwych zarówno dla zwierząt, jak i ludzi.
